Job summary

Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division seeks an engineer to design, develop, and implement generator control switchgear automation. You will deliver control solutions for complex power systems on retrofit and new projects from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities include leading design, programming, testing, and commissioning of LV/MV paralleling systems, converting legacy PLCs, developing PLC/HMI apps, and supporting field teams. Travel 35-50% from the U.S.-based position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
