Job summary

Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division seeks a professional to design, develop, and implement generator control switchgear systems. You will deliver automation solutions for complex power systems and manage retrofit and new projects from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities include design, programming, testing, and commissioning of LV/MV paralleling control systems, converting legacy PLCs, and training teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years related experience with degree, or 4 years without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify retrofit opportunities and scope projects with Dealer/Factory teams.
• Design, program, test, and commission LV/MV generator paralleling controls.
• Convert legacy PLCs and validate performance.
• Develop PLC and HMI applications using standard templates.
• Train technicians and customers on maintenance and operation.
