Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for a remote role. You will lead electrical design and validation, own schematics and BOMs, and drive design reviews across subsystems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in electrical design, proficiency with power distribution and controls, and familiarity with NEC/UL standards. This role offers flexible scheduling and substantial growth opportunities across North America.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of industrial electrical design experience.
• Knowledge of power distribution, conversion and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and validation for major subsystems and product areas.
• Translate system requirements into robust electrical designs.
• Own schematics, drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOMs.
• Drive design reviews, trade studies, prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, and project teams.
• Mentor early-career engineers and reinforce standards.
• Support project planning and effort estimation.
