Job summary
Amteck is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support construction and engineering teams through advanced 3D modeling and coordination. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in BIM tools, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of electrical and construction practices. This position is eligible to be fully remote or work out of locations in Lexington, KY or Greenville, SC. Responsibilities include creating 3D models, performing clash detection, and generating construction documentation.
Responsibilities
Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts or clashes using clash detection tools.
Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model.
Ensuring the BIM model remains current with design changes.
Working closely with project managers and engineers to align designs and on-site realities.
Providing 3D visualizations, clash reports, and other information to aid decision-making.
Skills
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit
Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models
Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to analyze and interpret design information
Attention to detail
Ability to create/modify basic Revit families
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
