Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support construction teams through advanced 3D modeling and coordination. This role involves creating and maintaining accurate BIM models, performing clash detection, and generating construction documentation. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, proficiency in BIM tools, and a solid understanding of electrical construction practices. This position allows for fully remote work or employment at our Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks.
• Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts or clashes.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, Navisworks)

Sound understanding of construction methods

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Attention to detail

Ability to create/modify Revit families
