Job summary

Amteck is looking for a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to enhance our construction and engineering teams through advanced 3D modeling and coordination. This role offers the flexibility to work fully remote or from our offices in Lexington, KY or Greenville, SC.

The ideal candidate will create and maintain accurate BIM models, perform clash detection, and generate construction documentation, all while collaborating with various project teams. Proficiency in BIM tools and strong communication skills are essential for success in this unique position.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks.
• Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Sound understanding of construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts using clash detection tools.
• Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model.
• Ensuring the BIM model remains current with design changes.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and construction teams.
• Providing 3D visualizations and reports for decision-making.
