Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electric Utility Designer / Project Coordinator for a REMOTE WORK role, ideally within commuting distance of Reading, PA.

The candidate will support transmission line design and construction projects, assist with GIS data analytics, work orders, invoicing, and financial reporting using ERP software. Responsibilities include updating work packages, data entry, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline with 10 years of experience in transmission line design.
• Must be organized and able to manage data from start to finish on a project.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and communicate status effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and design/business enterprise software.
• Strong written and verbal communication at all levels.
• Valid driver’s license with dependable transportation; may require a fit-for-duty and drug/alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Update work packages and close out work requests; perform data entry and other administrative duties as needed.
• Analyze field data to update software packages for design implementation.
• Communicate with clients and co-workers to determine best engineering solutions.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget with regular status updates to management.
• Interacts with clients and regular coordination with Orbital accounting to ensure project accounting.
