Job summary

Macmillan Learning is seeking a Project Manager contractor to coordinate and execute core production workflows for self-paced online learning content. You will maintain Jira boards, track course tasks, and ensure timely handoffs across content, rights, marketing, and platform teams, while coordinating with external vendors.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Workflow Optimization, you will document schedules, prepare status reports, and identify process improvements to support the pilot

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex project workflows and track multi-team deliverables across varied stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
• Proven capability in written and verbal communication, with an ability to coordinate clearly across internal teams and external vendors.
• Ability to work independently, identify blockers, adapt to evolving processes, and maintain momentum.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage production workflows for self-paced online learning content, maintaining project setup, task creation, checklist tracking, and course timelines.
• Track workflow progress and resolve blockers by actively maintaining Jira tickets, subtasks, and task statuses across multiple courses.
• Facilitate content-processing operations across lecture slides, credited images, ePUB workflows, and delivery handoffs.
• Document production schedules, project materials, and status reports to preserve operational continuity.
• Organize production calls, prepare agendas, distribute follow-up action items, and maintain cross-functional stakeholder communication.
• Support vendor onboarding efforts, external partner coordination, and related operational documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify workflow pain points, recommend process refinements, and support system automation initiatives.
