Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead safety initiatives, mentor field workers, and coordinate EHS training across projects. The role requires the ability to work with management, operations, customers, and regulators, while traveling as needed.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in EHS within construction, a HS diploma or GED, and is willing to travel internationally. Remote work is possible with a strong safety focus and reliable communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS graduate or GED required.
• Professional EHS certifications preferred (OSHA 510).
• Must be able to work remotely and travel across the US and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and reinforce safety culture in the workplace.
• Build relationships that inspire cooperative safety efforts.
• Conduct Safety meetings.
• Inspect job sites to audit/mentor worker compliance with the EHS program.
• Prepare new hires for entry to the workplace.
• Conduct and/or coordinate EHS training for workers and maintain training records.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Evaluate the EHS program and suggest improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis of incidents and suggest corrective actions.
• Draft project specific JHA’s and HASP’s.
• Assist Risk Management and Compliance departments as needed.
• Leverage new technology when possible.
