Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Portfolio Lead for the Onshore Wind team. You will develop, implement, and maintain the EHS programs across wind farm construction projects, ensuring compliance with local laws and ISO standards (45001 & 14001).

You will travel up to 50% of the time and provide expert EHS support remotely, collaborating with site managers and clients to drive risk reduction, continuous improvement and sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an EHS role within construction, energy, or renewable energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Local/National WHS and Environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Ability to obtain Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certification.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time.
• Medical fitness and ability to work at height as per onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the EHS Management System and ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and permits.
• Conduct site EHS governance, risk assessments, and incident investigations to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Deliver EHS training and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives including waste reduction and carbon footprint efforts.
• Collect, analyze, and report on EHS performance indicators and contribute to audits.
