Job summary

Vestas is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Professional to support U.S. operations remotely in Illinois or Indiana. You will coordinate site HSE plans, monitor progress, and coach teams on incident investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities include overseeing injuries, representing HSE at customer meetings, applying ISO 14001/45001, and delivering HSE training to build regional capability. Remote work readiness and collaboration with leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Industrial Health & Safety or related equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' work experience in general industry, industrial and/or construction environmental, or health & safety.
• Experience applying ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 across geographies.
• Experience with TapRoot or other root cause analysis processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the HSE site specific plans for start-up and existing Service locations.
• Monitors progress on completion of the site-specific plan.
• Supports site management and provides coaching/review of incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversees management of work-related injuries at regional locations.
• Represents HSE with Service Operations at customer meetings.
• Interacts with authorities as necessary.
• Oversees environmental support to regional locations.
