Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager, Field Service, to lead a geographically dispersed team of EHS professionals and shape safety programs for electrical construction and field operations in the United States.

You will develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, conduct audits and incident investigations, ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations, and travel up to 40% to support field teams and customer sites across the US.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years’ experience in a technical EHS role focusing on Safety and Environmental Compliance
  • Leading environmental, health, and safety programs in field service operations, electrical construction, construction sites, substations, commissioning environments, or similarly high-risk operations.
  • Applying electrical safety principles and requirements, including arc-flash hazard prevention, electrical safety training, lockout/tagout programs, hazard assessments, and controls for high-risk electrical work.
  • Interpreting and implementing OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations and industry safety standards.
  • Conducting EHS audits, workplace inspections, incident investigations, regulatory reporting, corrective-action tracking, and subcontractor safety assessments.
  • Developing EHS policies, procedures, safety plans, training materials, and practical risk-control solutions while managing multiple priorities across teams and locations.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% to support field teams, customer sites, and business locations across the United States.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and developing a geographically dispersed team of EHS professionals supporting field service operations, electrical construction projects, commissioning activities, and customer locations.
  • Provide strategic direction for electrical safety programs, including arc-flash prevention, electrical safety training, lockout/tagout procedures, job safety analyses, and controls for high-risk work.
  • Promote Siemens’ Zero Harm Culture by serving as a visible safety leader, maintaining EHS standards, and making sound safety decisions when operational priorities conflict with employee or customer safety.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improving EHS policies, procedures, site-specific safety plans, safe work practices, emergency preparedness programs, and employee training.
  • Conduct and oversee EHS assessments, audits, incident investigations, subcontractor evaluations, corrective actions, regulatory reporting, workers’ compensation activities, and return-to-work programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental and occupational safety regulations while monitoring regulatory changes and advising employees and business leaders on EHS risks and requirements.
  • Partner with field service leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to assess organizational needs, align EHS resources with business growth, and guide future decisions regarding team structure and geographic coverage.
