Job summary

Giga Energy seeks a Client and Field Service EHS Manager to lead safety and regulatory compliance for our field service teams across Texas, California, and Nevada. You’ll train crews, coach technicians on electrical safety, and ensure safety is built into dispatch and field processes.

Expect ~40% travel to field sites while partnering with the Field Service Manager to scale EHS programs across states. This role requires strong communication and CSP/ASP certification.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of EHS experience supporting field service, construction, or other mobile/distributed workforces
• Working knowledge of Federal OSHA 1910/1926 standards, with direct experience applying Cal/OSHA and/or Nevada OSHA requirements
• Experience with electrical safety programs (NFPA 70E, LOTO) relevant to field electrical testing and service work
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 40% of the time to job sites across Texas, California, and Nevada
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to build safety buy-in among a distributed, mobile workforce
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or similar certification
• OSHA 30‑Hour General Industry certification; NFPA 70E qualified electrical worker training
• Experience supporting electrical engineers or technicians performing transformer, switchgear, or medium‑voltage equipment testing
• Experience building or scaling an EHS program across multiple states or regulatory jurisdictions

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain written EHS programs that satisfy Federal OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and Nevada OSHA requirements for all field service work
• Track regulatory changes across all three jurisdictions and update programs, training, and documentation accordingly
• Maintain state-specific program elements, including California's IIPP and Heat Illness Prevention Plan
• Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections, inquiries, or audits involving field service personnel
• Own safety programs specific to field service work, including electrical safety/arc flash (NFPA 70E), lockout/tagout, working at height, PIT/MEWP operation, and rigging
• Ensure proper PPE selection and qualified-person requirements for energized work
• Develop JHAs for field service tasks and ensure pre-task hazard assessments
• Establish minimum PPE, tooling, and safety equipment standards for field service vehicles and technicians
• Develop and deliver training for field personnel including electrical safety, LOTO, PIT/MEWP, fall protection, first aid/CPR/AED, HAZCOM
• Travel to field sites to observe practices, coach staff, and provide hands-on support
• Maintain training records and certifications across three states
• Partner with Field Service Manager to embed safety into scheduling/dispatch
• Investigate incidents and maintain OSHA logs
• Identify trends and drive corrective actions across states
