Job summary

Invenergy is seeking an EHS Specialist to ensure site compliance with EHS policies, programs, and procedures. You will contribute to developing EHS programs, policies, and procedures, conduct annual audits, and provide recommendations to improve safety performance and culture.

You will ensure safe working procedures are followed, manage compliance activities, and drive continuous improvement across sites. The role requires travel up to 50% and outdoor work in varying conditions, with a valid

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally up to 50%.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and at night.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assess risks and identify hazards to create a safe environment.
  • Facilitate Invenergy standards and procedures at sites.
  • Manage compliance activities and EHS programs.
  • Initiate investigations for incidents or near-misses and document findings.
  • Conduct inspections and audits and track corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit EHS reports and recordkeeping.
  • Deliver training on EHS policies and programs.
  • Utilize the 3E SDS management system.
