Job summary

Balchem Corporation is seeking an EHS professional at the Slate Hill site to lead safety and regulatory compliance, drive process improvements, and manage programs under direction of the Plant Manager and Regional EHS Manager.

The role focuses on incident management, data reporting on safety events, and promoting a zero-incident culture through site projects and corporate initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of production and/or EHS experience at a specialty chemical or food plant.
• Experience and/or certification to conduct employee safety training as required by OSHA is desirable.
• Proficiency with computers and various software applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform Job Hazard Analysis for all plant tasks (Operations, Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving).
• Perform PPE hazard assessments by identifying risks and required PPE.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits; track and resolve actions.
• Develop EHS related employee training content.
