Job summary

Balchem is seeking a Safety Manager to lead EH&S programs at the Verona, MO site. You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and risk control across functions, coaching management and staff to uphold Balchem standards.

The role requires a degree in EH&S or engineering, 8+ years in EH&S program management with PSM experience, and willingness to travel up to 10%. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in EH&S or engineering with relevant standards knowledge.
• Minimum 8 years in EH&S program management with PSM-regulated facilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.

• Clear, impactful written and verbal communication for all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evaluation of EH&S programs and regulatory compliance.
• Coach site management on hazard identification and risk control.
• Coordinate training and environmental health and safety objectives.
• Conduct audits and inspections across Balchem sites as needed.
• Investigate accidents and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare safety and compliance reports for management and external bodies.
