Job summary

The incumbent serves as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Specialist with the organizational title of Reviewer (Procedural Decisions) for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Resolution Management (ORM).

Telework is authorized and may be discussed during interview. To qualify, applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements and have one year of specialized experience at GS-12 level in EEO case processing, including reviewing files and providing guidance to improve

Qualifications

• Reviewing EEO case files and procedural decisions for compliance with 29 CFR 1614, MD-110, and agency policy.
• Applying EEO laws and case law to assess claim acceptability and determine dispositions.
• Conducting quality reviews of case processing to identify errors, trends, and systemic issues, and ensuring records support determinations and appeal rights.
• Providing technical guidance or training on EEO case processing, regulatory requirements, and procedural decisions to improve consistency and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Assess claim acceptability and identify bases/issues.
• Conduct quality reviews of case processing to ensure accurate, timely, and legally sufficient processing.
