Job summary

ServingSchools in Biddeford, ME seeks an Education Technician II or III to provide intervention and instructional support for K-2 students. You will reinforce classroom learning, assist with drill and practice, and support teachers during workshops and drills.

Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education is required, along with CHRC fingerprinting. Prior classroom experience is preferred; compensation is based on position, education, and experience per the

Qualifications

• Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education.
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher and assist in drill and practice activities.
• Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director.
• Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students.
• Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
• Alerts teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
