Qualifications

• Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education.
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) required with fingerprints on file.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom or special education teacher.
• Assist in drill and practice activities and in preparation of instructional materials.
• Provide classroom management during drills, assemblies, and emergency situations.
• Alert staff to problems or special information about individual students.
