Job summary

Legalpeople is seeking a sharp, organized contractor for a high-priority data collection project in Litigation. You will work with the eDiscovery team to move data securely from Client's systems to a review partner and own the tracking that keeps the project on schedule and defensible.

This full-time, interim role starts ASAP, remote, with 8+ hours per day. You will retrieve data, transfer securely, validate transfers, maintain logs, troubleshoot, and use AI tools for tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Proficient with Mac, Google apps, and Microsoft Office.
• 2+ years with eDiscovery collection or preservation tools.
• Familiar with major eDiscovery review platforms.
• Experience using AI assistants in a work setting.
• Knowledge of EDRM, legal holds, and data integrity.
• IT support or data administration experience helpful.
• Comfort with FTP/SFTP, rsync, and cloud transfers.
• Strong spreadsheet skills and disciplined record-keeping.
• Discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data using enterprise eDiscovery platforms.
• Transfer data securely to an outside vendor.
• Validate transfers with referencing data.
• Maintain a detailed project log of statuses and issues.
• Troubleshoot transfer problems and escalate as needed.
• Use AI tools for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Provide regular status updates to the eDiscovery lead.
