The role emphasizes accurate E/M level calculation, documentation review and adherence to coding guidelines in a home-office setting. Qualified candidates hold AAPC or AHIMA credentials and have at least 6 months of coding experience, with proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Excel/Outlook.

Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC or AHIMA is required.
• Minimum 6 months of on-the-job coding experience.
• Proficiency with EMR and billing systems required.
• Strong Excel and Outlook skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM coding across multiple specialties.
• Code Professional Fee, Facility, or HCC as applicable.
• Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels using internal algorithms.
• Ensure codes reflect documentation and maximize appropriate reimbursement.
• Maintain quality and productivity metrics (>=95%).
