Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be certified through AAPC CPC/COC or AHIMA CCS/CCS-P.
• Minimum 6 months of on-the-job coding experience.
• Regular, predictable attendance required.
• Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems.
• Must maintain CPT/ICD-10-CM references and credentials.
• Maintain productivity ≥95% and quality ≥95%.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook; strong written/verbal communication.
• Ability to coordinate, analyze, meet deadlines; may take on other duties.

Responsibilities

• Work from home and be independent in coding skills.
• Provide components of coding services to support clients.
• Code ER procedures to maximize appropriate revenue.
• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with specificity.
• Apply CPT and HCPCS codes per guidelines for accuracy.
• Adhere to AHIMA standards and Company ethics.
• Comply with internal policies and participate in training.
• Maintain active credentials through AAPC or AHIMA.
• Protect privacy and security of patient information.
