Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a Remote ED/Ancillary Coder to code Emergency Department and ancillary services from medical records. You will work with ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding, ensuring documentation meets facility and CMS guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years in medical coding, correct credentialing (AHIMA or AAPC), and strict accuracy with productivity targets while supporting remote work standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Requires AHIMA CCS/CCS-P or RHIT; or AAPC CPC/COC/CPC-H credential.
• Proficient with Facilities Coding Standards.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in medical coding.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT coding principles and regulations.
• Seek proper documentation when not documented adequately.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Maintain average productivity standards.
• Review queue daily and communicate corrections to facilities.
• Code or pending every chart in queue.
• Maintain current professional credentials.
