Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CPC/COC/CPC-P/CCS certification with AHIMA/AAPC credentialing to be maintained annually.
• Medical coding or auditing experience in the past year.
• 2+ years of E&M medical coding experience.
• 2+ years interacting with physicians in a medical setting.
• 2+ years of high-volume telephonic experience.
• 2+ years of experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Educational outreach via phone and email to providers.
• 80-90%: Provider educational outreach via phone/email.
• 10-20%: Audit outpatient claims and provide feedback per guidelines.
