Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a dedicated Evaluation & Management Medical Coder to deliver coding and auditing services to providers. You will translate diagnoses and procedures into codes, educate provider offices, and perform claim audits. Remote work options allow telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.

with standard hours 8:00 AM–4:00 PM CST and occasional overtime. Ideal candidates have CPC/COC or AHIMA/AAPC credentials and 2+ years in E/M coding, plus strong communication with physicians

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and professional coder certification.
• CPC/COC-CPC-P/CCS or AHIMA/AAPC credentials maintained annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide coding and coding auditing services to providers.
• Educate provider offices on coding guidelines via phone/email.
• Audit outpatient claims to validate codes and place of service.
