Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is seeking an E-Content Specialist to help build and maintain a comprehensive Global Knowledge Base (GKB). The role focuses on metadata quality, data feeds from external partners, and accurate indexing to support discovery for customers.

The position is remote (U.S.-based) with expected collaboration across global providers and cross-functional teams. Strong Excel skills and metadata standards experience (KBART, MARC, Dublin Core, ONIX) are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with large datasets, metadata, or electronic resources.
• 2+ years of experience coordinating with third‑party vendors and managing high‑volume written and verbal communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced functions, with datasets over 50,000 rows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain metadata collections in the Global Knowledge Base (GKB).
• Establish quality data feeds with external data partners and load metadata into the GKB.
• Analyze publisher metadata for completeness and quality and remediate gaps.
