Job summary

Texas Sports Academy in the United States is hiring a fully remote Dyslexia Specialist to support students with dyslexia and related reading differences. You will deliver reading intervention and structured literacy support over video from anywhere in the U.S., helping students access the same curriculum as their peers.

You have substantial experience with structured literacy methods, can analyze assessments, and collaborate with guides, coaches, and parents to tailor instruction and monitor

Qualifications

• Direct Experience Supporting Students With Dyslexia: you have worked with students who have dyslexia and can point to reading gains.
• Training in Structured Literacy: completed Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, LETRS, or comparable program.
• Assessment and Planning Skills: read assessment data and communicate plan clearly.
• Comfortable in an Athletic Environment: understands demands of competitive youth athletics.
• Bachelor's Degree: in education, special education, reading, speech-language pathology, or a related field.
• Location: Remote (U.S.)

Responsibilities

• Structured Literacy Instruction: deliver one-on-one and small-group sessions over video using evidence-based methods.
• Individual Student Support: work on decoding, fluency, spelling, and reading comprehension.
• Progress Monitoring: use running records and measures to track growth and adjust plans.
• Partner With Guides and Coaches: collaborate to apply accommodations across the academic day.
• Parent Communication: provide updates and coach parents on strategies at home.
• Platform and Accommodation Support: help students use text-to-speech, audiobooks, and online accommodations.
