Job summary

Gulf Winds International is seeking a Driver Recruiter to attract and qualify professional truck drivers, with an emphasis on owner-operators and intermodal experience. This role develops market-specific strategies and manages the candidate pipeline from initial contact through onboarding.

You will partner with Operations and Marketing/Drive to align capacity, stay competitive on pay, and deliver exceptional candidate experiences while promoting our culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of truck driver recruiting experience required (owner-operator recruiting experience strongly preferred).
• Prior experience in intermodal/drayage or transportation industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and driver qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies by market to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified drivers.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting: source, screen, interview, run reports, request documentation, and schedule drug screens.
• Leverage Tenstreet and other platforms to track, process, and qualify candidates.
• Utilize social media, advertising, and recruiting events to expand driver leads and applications.
• Promote company culture, support retention initiatives, and serve as a recruiting resource to operations staff.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations during the qualification and hiring process.
