Job summary

Gulf Winds International, Inc. is seeking a Driver Recruiter to attract and qualify professional truck drivers, with emphasis on owner-operators and intermodal experience.

This role builds market-specific recruiting plans and manages the applicant pipeline from first contact through onboarding. You will partner with Operations and Marketing to align capacity, monitor pay structures, and deliver a positive candidate experience while ensuring compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• 2+ years of truck driver recruiting experience required.
• Experience in intermodal/drayage or transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT driver qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market-specific recruiting strategies.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting: source, screen, interview, and schedule drug screens.
• Use Tenstreet and other platforms to track candidates.
• Leverage social media and events to generate driver leads.
• Ensure hiring aligns with pay structures and capacity needs.
• Maintain compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations.
• Deliver a positive candidate experience.
• Promote company culture and retention initiatives.
