Job summary

Gulf Winds International, Inc. is seeking a Driver Recruiter to attract and qualify professional truck drivers, with emphasis on owner-operators and intermodal experience. The role collaborates with Operations and Marketing/Drive to align capacity needs and retention goals.

You will develop market-specific recruiting strategies, manage the applicant pipeline from contact through onboarding, and deliver a positive candidate experience while ensuring FMCSA/DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in recruiting platforms (e.g., Tenstreet).
• Ability to build relationships with candidates, operations staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies by market to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified drivers.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting: source, screen, interview, run reports, request documentation, and schedule drug screens.
• Leverage Tenstreet and other platforms to track, process, and qualify candidates.
• Utilize social media, advertising, and recruiting events to expand driver leads and applications.
• Maintain market knowledge on pay structures, trends, and recruiting strategies.
• Partner with Operations to ensure hiring aligns with capacity needs and retention goals.
• Monitor onboarding trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations during hiring.
• Provide timely communication and a positive candidate experience.
• Promote company culture and support retention initiatives.
