Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners seeks an Inpatient/DRG Validation Coding Auditor to perform documentation and coding audits for acute inpatient services. You will identify coding errors, ensure compliant documentation, and optimize reimbursement.

You will write concise recommendations, stay current with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, and work with CDI specialists to drive improvements in coding accuracy while meeting client deadlines and quality standards. Remote role with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of coding experience.
• 3+ years of facility coding audit experience (DRG and APC Validation).
• Proficiency in multiple EMR’s, encoders, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Educated in HIPAA regulations; must maintain strict confidentiality of patient and client information.
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform DRG coding and clinical reviews to verify accuracy and assignment.
• Identify coding errors, compliance issues, and educational opportunities.
• Collaborate with CDI specialists to determine documentation and query opportunities.
• Write clear recommendations and provide feedback to coders, referencing ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and quality goals; meet client turn-around and audit quality expectations.
