Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a DRG Validation Auditor I to audit inpatient cases for DRG validation and documentation improvement.

You will review accounts in proprietary software and client EMR systems to validate the accounts, delivering detailed rationale and evidence for each finding. Eligible candidates have AHIMA credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS), 3+ years of ICD-10 coding and DRG experience, and hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.

Qualifications

• Current AHIMA credentials RHIA, RHIT or CCS are required.
• 3+ years ICD-10 coding and DRG reimbursement experience in acute inpatient auditing.
• Experience with multiple EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) is required.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records for DRG validation and documentation improvement.
• Provide detailed rationale and evidence for findings and recommendations.
• Reference ICD-10 guidelines, AHIMA standards and related practice briefs to support reviews.
