SAIC in Washington, DC seeks a diligent Switchboard Operator to support the US Department of Transportation. This role is the first point of contact for DOT customers, handling calls, routing them, and performing clerical tasks within a government-focused environment.

Responsibilities include recording calls, updating the Switchboard Directory, researching information, and training new staff. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualificações

• High school diploma with 2 years of work experience required.
• At least 1 year in customer service in a business setting.
• Excellent phone skills and strong communication/listening abilities.
• U.S. citizenship required; must obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Basic computer proficiency and research skills.

Responsabilidades

• Answer Incoming Calls and direct to the DOT department using the Switchboard Directory.
• Research DOT intranet/internet to provide caller information.
• Record calls daily in a spreadsheet.
• Research, verify Switchboard Directory information for customers and DOT personnel; maintain accuracy of contacts.
• Train new staff.
