Job summary

Santa Fe Animal Shelter Inc. is seeking a Philanthropy Specialist to manage Raiser's Edge NXT and donor records from a home office. This remote role supports grants, donor cultivation, and analytics for the Development team.

Responsibilities include generating reports, researching prospects, coordinating donor communications, and ensuring accurate acknowledgement and reporting. Occasional on-site NM work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT and donor databases.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising principles.
• Ability to analyze data and present clear findings for strategy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the donor management database; enter and track contributions and document donor communication, cultivation, and stewardship.
• Manage gift processing and ensure timely acknowledgement of gifts.
• Support donor appeals, newsletters, and other communications via the database.
• Generate regular and special reports; analyze giving trends and campaign results.
• Research prospect financial capacity and donor fit to inform solicitation strategies.
• Create and pull reports to inform donor relations activities.
• Ensure donor recognition information in annual report and on SFAS website is current.
• Engage with donors needing assistance via phone and email.
• Other duties as assigned.
