Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Senior DoD Staff Writing SME to work remotely (US only) on a pivotal customer project. You will apply your domain knowledge to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn and perform.

Your responsibilities include creating prompts, artifacts, and rubrics, producing authentic DoD-style reports, and guiding the evaluation of AI outputs with a focus on accuracy, tone, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a federal contributor with DoD is preferred.
• Proven ability to produce WARs, SITREPs, and executive summaries.
• Familiarity with federal compliance and terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide well-structured prompts, input artifacts, and golden responses for DoD staff writing tasks.
• Create grading guidelines to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, tone, and compliance.
• Produce authentic report artifacts reflecting real DoD documentation styles.
• Contribute to design and review of test materials for evaluating AI capabilities in summarizing and reporting for federal personnel.
• Engage in feedback cycles to refine prompts, responses, and grading rubrics.
• Leverage back-office experience to simulate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting formats familiar to federal organizations.
