Job summary

PatchPlus Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy software supporting DoW R&D and prototyping efforts. You will work with cross-functional teams including engineers, researchers, and military SMEs to build mission-focused solutions for government customers.

The role involves remote work with periodic travel across the United States, with emphasis on secure coding practices, SDLC participation, and ongoing learning in AI/ML, cloud, and cyber domains.

Qualifications

• US Citizen and ability to obtain DoW Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng/CE or related field.
• 4–6 years of software development experience with architecture/design involvement.
• Proficiency in multiple modern languages (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C++, C#).
• Experience with SQL and MongoDB, APIs, services, or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of cloud, containers, Git, and modern toolchains.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and pipeline deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for DoW R&D and prototyping.
• Participate in all SDLC phases and develop APIs, backend services, and cloud solutions.
• Apply secure coding practices and support cybersecurity requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and military SMEs to deliver mission-focused capabilities.
• Support documentation, configuration management, and continuous integration/CI-CD efforts.
