Job summary

Page Mechanical Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced COBOL Programmer to support a DoD client with a remote-work arrangement. The role requires US Citizenship, DoD CAC/PIV credentials, and IAT II certification, along with 10+ years in COBOL within enterprise systems.

You will maintain and enhance mainframe applications, leverage ISPF/CICS, JCL, and MANTIS, and contribute to SDLC activities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• US citizen with DoD CAC/PIV credentials.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements (CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CISA, CISSP or Associate, GCED, GCIH).
• Associate degree or higher.
• 10+ years experience with COBOL in enterprise systems.
• Proficient in ISPF and CICS for mainframe programming.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, Flat-Files, CopyLibs, and database models (SUPRA and modern).
• Experience maintaining COBOL, MANTIS, JCL, and Assembler.
• Familiarity with File Master, Test-rite, and SAR.
• SDLC support for sustainment projects; development, testing, maintenance.
• Ability to produce technical docs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with analysts and end users to understand opportunities and troubleshoot incidents.
• Maintain and enhance systems using COBOL, MANTIS, JCL, and Assembler.
• Develop, test, and implement mainframe applications using ISPF, CICS, JCL, and databases.
• Apply mainframe utilities to support analysis, testing, and reporting.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, and testing with teams.
• Compile and maintain documentation, reports, and artifacts for changes and audits.
• Work with teammates to perform root cause analysis and peer reviews.
