Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Boundary Security Engineer to design and test boundary security capabilities for DoD networks, implementing proven controls in both lab and production environments.

You will collaborate with SMEs, vendors, and users to shape network requirements and support secure deployments across backbone networks and cloud tech. A Secret clearance is required with IAT II within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of network security experience in large enterprises or government.
• Experience with firewall and enterprise security design (IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPNs).
• Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco/Juniper firewalls.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Design and test boundary security capabilities in a lab environment and in production.
• Provide implementation teams with remote firewall and security appliance support.
• Identify and support security requirements for switched and routed networks; implement best-practice configurations.
• Mentor or supervise employees in technical competencies.
