Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Boundary Security Engineer to design and test boundary security capabilities for DoD networks, then implement them into production environments. You will provide remote firewall and security appliance support to implementation teams and help identify security requirements for complex network deployments.

You will collaborate with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users to translate strategic goals into secure, resilient network designs and ensure interoperability

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with network security in large enterprises or government
• 4+ years of firewall and enterprise security design (IDS/IPS, SIEM, firewalls)
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Secret clearance and HS diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Design and test new boundary security capabilities in a lab and implement them into production environments
• Provide remote firewall and security appliance support to implementation teams
• Identify and support security requirements for switched and routed networks; enforce security best practices
• Work with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users to learn goals and translate into network requirements
