Job summary

Booz Allen is seeking a Boundary Security Engineer to design and test boundary security capabilities for DoD networks. You will implement tested capabilities into production, provide remote firewall support, and define security requirements for complex enterprise networks.

You’ll work with SMEs, customers, vendors, and users to shape network needs, learn new tools, and mentor staff while addressing critical security challenges. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with network security and the design of IT systems or networks for large commercial enterprises or government agencies
• 4+ years of experience with firewall and enterprise security design, including device hardening, intrusion detection systems and intrusion prevention systems, SIEM, firewalls, IPsec, vulnerability assessment
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco or Juniper firewalls
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 90 days of hire date

Responsibilities

• Develop and test boundary security capabilities in a lab environment and implement them into production environments
• Provide remote firewall and security appliance support to implementation teams
• Identify and support security requirements for switched and routed networks and apply best-practice configurations
