Job summary

Biehl is seeking a Documentation Manager to lead the documentation team and support offices and customers with Bills of Lading, ACE filings, Certificates of Origin, and USCG notices.

You will track requests, ensure timely completion, train staff, and support new customer workflows while monitoring monthly income and AR. Flexible work-from-home options are available, with a focus on accurate, on-time documentation for US shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior experience with ships, tugs, etc. and accompanying paperwork requirements preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior knowledge and experience with import/export requirements.

Responsibilities

• Track documentation requests and ensure full completion.
• Ensure team is run well and efficient, providing training as needed.
• Process and support new documentation customer requests.
• Monitor and track monthly income and AR.
• File ACE import entries for vessels arriving with foreign cargo onboard and ship spares landed in the US.
• File ACE export entries for vessels loading cargo in the US destined for foreign countries.
• Complete export documentation for cargo loaded in the US destined for foreign countries.
• File USCG Electronic Notice of Arrivals and Departures for applicable vessels entering the US.
• Ensure all filings are completed and accepted within the required deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
