Job summary

Team Carney, a federal solutions leader, is seeking a Document Specialist & Training Specialist (Document Remediation) to ensure federal digital content meets Section 508 standards. This full-time, remote role works with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF, performing remediation and validating accessibility across documents and forms.

You will design, create, and deliver instructor-led training for government personnel on accessibility evaluation methods and remediation techniques, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of dedicated experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents and forms (including Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF) for Section 508 compliance.
• Proven experience creating and delivering instructor-led training materials and conducting training sessions on document accessibility.
• Broad knowledge and practical understanding of Accessibility Tests for Documents endorsed by the Federal CIO Council Community of Practice and Revised Section 508 Standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, remediate, and validate electronic documents, PDFs, fillable forms, spreadsheets, and presentations for full accessibility.
• Design, create, and deliver instructor-led training on document accessibility and remediation techniques to government personnel.
• Assist the government in making multimedia content fully Section 508 compliant (captioning, transcripts, audio descriptions).
