Job summary

Team Carney, Inc. seeks a Document Specialist & Training Specialist (Document Remediation) to support a federal client. This full-time role is remote within the U.S.

and focuses on making documents accessible to meet Section 508 standards. You will evaluate and remediate electronic documents and forms across Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF, and design and deliver instructor-led training for government personnel on accessibility standards and remediation techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of experience evaluating and remediating electronic documents for Section 508 compliance.
• Proven experience creating and delivering instructor-led training materials.
• Broad knowledge of Accessibility Tests for Documents endorsed by the Federal CIO Council Community of Practice.
• Skilled in evaluating, remediating, and validating complex electronic documents and forms.
• Ability to provide clear verbal and written instruction for government personnel.
• Support making multimedia content 508 compliant (captioning, transcripts, audio descriptions).
• Excellent technical writing and oral presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and remediate electronic documents and forms across MS Office and PDF formats.
• Design, create, and facilitate instructor-led training on accessibility standards and remediation techniques.
• Assist the government in ensuring multimedia content is Section 508 compliant.
