Job summary

Talisman Advisory Partners is seeking a Water Leader for the Mid Atlantic to lead a market-facing water practice with deep engineering credibility and strong client relationships. The role connects to the firm’s New York and New Jersey offices and focuses on growth across the DMV region.

The candidate will lead technically, manage complex projects, and mentor a high-performing team while pursuing new opportunities with utilities, municipalities, and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in water engineering, advisory, infrastructure, or climate/resilience work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or related field; Master’s in a water specialty preferred.
• Current U.S. PE license.
• Strong technical grounding across stormwater management, water resources planning, flood risk management, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership for water projects and oversee multidisciplinary teams from feasibility to delivery.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to succession planning.
• Grow the water practice by identifying opportunities and building client partnerships.
• Represent the firm at industry events to raise profile and win work.
