Mott MacDonald in Philadelphia seeks a Water Market Leader to drive growth of the water business across PA, NJ, DE and the broader Mid-Atlantic region, coordinating with the North America Water Market Leader and other practice leaders.

You will lead client engagement, develop strategic plans, mentor teams, and oversee project delivery while upholding ethics and collaborating across disciplines to deliver sustainable, complex infrastructure programs.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 15 years in water sector and broader A/E/C industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Strong relationships with municipal water and wastewater utilities, counties, municipalities, and regional agencies in PA and the Mid-Atlantic.
• Proven track record in client development, account management, and winning major infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex engineering programs.
• Experience developing and executing strategic business development plans.
• Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative leadership across multiple offices and disciplines.
• Experience managing large capital programs, design-build, and alternative delivery pursuits.
• Active involvement in industry orgs such as AWWA, WEF, ASCE, ACEC, or similar.

Aufgaben

• Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the Mid-Atlantic water market (PA/MD/NJ/DE) with leadership alignment.
• Lead client engagement and business development, identifying opportunities and maintaining relationships with clients and regulators.
• Mentor and grow a team of water professionals with guidance on promotions, salaries, and training.
• Manage and advise Discipline Leads on structure, succession planning, and coaching.
• Oversee project delivery to ensure on-time, on-scope, and on-budget outcomes.
• Identify and recruit local engineering talent with Talent Acquisition and Resource Manager.
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, high-performing culture aligned with Mott MacDonald values.
• Coordinate with Development, Strategic Market, Practice, and Account Leaders for BD and client engagement.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive growth, improve performance, and strengthen market presence.
• Demonstrate leadership upholding ethics, governance, and compliance with company procedures.
• Provide visible leadership, guiding senior leadership with informed decisions.
