Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior leader for the Mid-Atlantic Water Business Group Professional Services Leader. You will develop and coordinate technical competencies, oversee project performance, and drive profitability while advancing QA/QC practices.

The role requires guiding staff, collaborating with market leaders, and refining delivery standards across multiple locations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Ideal candidates have 15+ years of experience, a PE license, excellent communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Professional, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 10 years of required experience with leadership in a water/wastewater context.
• Active involvement in professional or industry associations.
• Ability to collaborate with regional and local office managers and directors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical competencies for the Water Business Group staff.
• Oversee project oversight, reviews, and profitability at the project level.
• Drive quality assurance, QA/QC, and continuous improvement programs.
• Collaborate with Market Sector Leaders on workload projections and fee development.
• Manage hiring needs, requisitions, and offers in the Business Group.
• Partner with senior leaders to streamline business processes and delivery evolution.
• Support communication within all business groups and project teams.
