Job summary

Sun Gro Horticulture is seeking a District Sales Manager to plan, organize, and control the total selling effort within the assigned territory. Achieve area sales budget objectives and plans assigned.

Ensure distribution objectives are attained as assigned on a consistent basis for Sun Gro product line to gain market share. Establish territory, distributor, and account objectives and develop plans for their accomplishments.

Qualifications

• Organizational ability to plan, organize, and monitor activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interface.
• Sound decision-making with evidence-based rationale.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sales according to approved sales and marketing plans.
• Implement/monitor approved sales/marketing programs and procedures.
• Achieve new account and distribution objectives as assigned.
• Canvas the market to gain insights and adjust to conditions.
• Maintain CRM data with accurate sales activities and notes.
• Maintain territory profile including competitors and distributors.
• Communicate with supervisors about territory factors to various departments.
• Participate in regional meetings to plan and analyze activities.
• Handle customer requests, problems, or special situations regarding product performance.
• Maintain company equipment for safety and professional appearance.
• Control territory expense budgets as assigned.
• Submit sales and expense reports by monthly deadline.
