Job summary

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA seeks a District Service Manager to provide technical support across WA, AK, OR, ID, MT, and WY. Travel about 75% to dealer locations, OEMs, and shows; train dealers in operations and systems; report on service issues via YCRMS; manage travel budgets and inventories.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years marine service experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and strong MS Office and writing skills. Must lift up to 50 lbs and work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Marine industry certifications are required.
• 3-5 years Marine industry service experience and ability to troubleshoot outboard engines.
• 2-3 years rigging and maintenance experience with boat fuel and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide counsel to retail customers and Yamaha Marine dealers during technical visits; perform call center duty as needed.
• Support dealer operations through regular communication by phone, email, text, and visits.
• Train new Marine dealers in Yamaha business operations, system books, and libraries.
• Plan and execute dealer development visits and mini clinics with performance reviews.
• Complete timely YCRMS, Monthly, and Market Information Reports on service issues.
• Collaborate with District Marketing Managers to improve the dealer network and coordinate events.
• Develop and deliver product information presentations and lead seminars.
• Remote position with approximately 75% travel; may be away from home up to two weeks at a time.
• Provide technical support for corporate displays at boat shows and OEM events.
• Manage a business travel budget and maintain company vehicles and Yamaha supplies.
• Work with minimal supervision and make independent decisions to support customers and dealers.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Maintain an excellent record of customer service on technical issues at dealerships or OEMs.
• Demonstrate solid administrative skills and use business software effectively.
• Demonstrate good writing skills.
