Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Associate Distribution Engineer/Designer who will develop design and construction work packages for electrical distribution systems, both overhead and underground. You will review client requirements, perform structural and electrical calculations, and provide on-site and office support to ensure adherence to engineering standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required or preferred in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial fields.
Experience with NESC Standards and common design tools is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Office and strong written/verbal communication skills requested.

Responsibilities

Develop design and construction work packages for overhead and underground distribution systems.
Review client-provided work and assess scope requirements.
Perform engineering calculations (pole loading, guying, sag/tension, voltage drop, flicker).
Provide field/constructive support and post-construction reviews for standards compliance.
Coordinate with utilities and manage large design packages in dense urban environments.
