Qualifications

• 3+ years with DDS for distribution design (FirstEnergy or opcos).
• Proven experience in distribution design and power delivery projects.
• Hands-on experience supporting FirstEnergy or its operating companies.
• Ability to perform QC reviews of distribution designs.
• Proficiency using Crews (FirstEnergy SAP) to manage work orders.
• Strong understanding of NESC and its application.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design/documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed power distribution designs that meet utility standards using DDS and design tools.
• Support distribution design engineering for upgrades, relocations, and reconductoring (LTP).
• Prepare and update work orders in Crews; ensure documentation is accurate.
• Perform quality control on own designs and later QC on others’ designs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support distribution and reliability projects.
• Apply NESC standards to ensure safe, reliable designs.
• Maintain organized records of design activities and QC findings.
• Stay informed about client requirements and industry practices.
